Introduction to CHAMPS2 and Transformational Change
This session looks at some of the challenges facing organisations to deliver more results with fewer resources. It also outlines the underlying structure of CHAMPS2 in terms of the phases, stages, activities and additional resources.
Phases 0-7
CHAMPS2 comprises eight phases through which the organisation accumulates information and knowledge. It starts with the identification of the strategic need, the Vision and the strategic outcomes – in other words the issues or opportunities the organisation wants to address and the results it wants to see.
Solution Evolution
This session looks at the design of the solution including processes, organisation structures and technology. It explores the development from the processes that will enable the solution to work, to the people and skills required to use the solution and the technology that will support people and automate processes. It brings together elements of CHAMPS2 ranging from the approval of the business case to the point when new systems are tested and go-live.
Benefits Management
Benefits management is a structured approach to ensuring the delivery of business benefits and tracking their journey from identification to benefits realisation. This session looks briefly at the principal reasons for defining benefits within CHAMPS2 and the tools used to manage benefits.
