Case Study
A blue chip company who provides email information services to paying clients is a good example of how important software testing is to businesses. This company found that 30% of their clients could not read their emails, so they had to fix this in order to save revenue and their reputation.
The company hired a software testing company who gathered customer feedback. This feedback discovered that customers used a number of different email clients and that many of these did not support and display the company’s emails properly. The software testing company implemented a special testing environment where they could test different software clients, from Outlook to web-based clients such as Hotmail and Yahoo.
After the testing was complete, the blue chip company had a range of email templates which met their graphical design needs as well as displayed properly in the range of email clients that their customers used. Their reputation and revenue were not negatively affected.
